Rules of Life

How a parka is necessary for making your life more endurable.

Greetings gentle readers.  I come before you with a very simple premise.  There is a severe shortcoming in winter coats these days.  Not only are the coats currently in vogue of dubious effectiveness, they also leave a lot to be desired in aesthetics.  As Leonidas points out in the opening image, a parka needs to have a hood.  Not just any old sweatshirt hoodie will do.  A proper parka, for proper winter warmth AND pleasing style, needs to have a hood that is either made of animal skin, and lined with animal down, and/or is trimmed with fur.

You may gasp and groan at the inhumanity of it all, but let me tell you that there are thousands of animals hit by vehicles on the highways of the world.  Those animals that are hit and killed are no longer in need of their skin.  It would be doing them a favor to put their skin to good use.  A properly tanned hide can last for decades, and the insulative properties of a raccoon's hide can not be overstated.  Coon skin caps?  Highly effective.  Lest you think I want us all to walk around looking like Davy Crockett, let me assure... Forget that!  Yes, I do want us all to walk around dressed like Davy Crockett.  That man had style, and poise, and also apparently looked exactly the same as Daniel Boone.  Why?  We've all seen the historical documentaries that Walt Disney discovered.  Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett were like the spitting image of each other.

So, to recap.  Parkas need a rebirth in our society.  Please join with me to resurrect this fine winter garment with ancient traditions of warmth and security.  Only YOU can choose to save our parkas.
